Should I build my career before getting married?

Alongside finding a wife, you need to be building a career, but that is not going to happen overnight. When I was 20 years old, I got married. When I was 21, I went to college. I went for three years, and the fourth year I did by correspondence from far away. I was building a career, putting down the foundation, because the 20s are for learning and the 30s are for earning, and that carries on into your 40s.

If you can find a wife and find a career path, know that they are not necessarily going to line up or sync perfectly. But I encounter people who say, Father, I am building my career and I am putting off having a wife. That only leads to problems, pretty much 100 percent of the time. It only leads to sin and problems. If you avoid sin, so many things in your life will turn out okay just by not wasting your time doing the wrong things.
