Where is a man supposed to find his worth?
The underlying problem is that men in our culture are obsessed with finding their value. It doesn't matter if it's the guy with the cars and the Bugatti, the guy with women all around him, or the guy with looks. It's all about accomplishing or accumulating something other men want, and it's all just a form of idolatry. Man's real worth is not how much weight he lifts, how big his bank account is, or how good he looks.
Man's real value is that he's created in the image of God, and not only that, he's loved by God. If we find our value in these other rabbit holes, they will suck our souls dry. The only thing that really brings a man fulfillment is to be connected with God. Once we are connected with the Lord Jesus Christ and our hearts are set on loving him, everything else doesn't really matter.
It's all the stuff of this earth, things that fade and perish, nothing compared with the glory of God. A real man wants to know God and to be known by God, and when he does, his soul becomes full. I tell you, every single one of these influencers, in private, feels like they're nothing. That's why they're building these images and pawning them off to other men, saying, get these things and you'll be something.
The reality is you end up hollow, lonely, disconnected from other people, and most importantly, disconnected from God. And God is the real center of our souls.
