Should Orthodox church services be in English?
George makes a fantastic point here, and I couldn't agree more with him. The reality is that people have to deny themselves. If we are preaching the gospel in a language the children do not understand, to the point that they are leaving out of ignorance, then yes, we've failed. We've missed the mark. We haven't martyred ourselves or laid down our life so that our children can understand this.
It's the same with preaching the gospel in America: if we're Orthodox Christians and our neighbors do not understand the language, and can come to the services and not even understand half of the service in English, then we're missing our demographic. We're missing the people around us.
