Apologetics

How do I decide between Orthodoxy and Catholicism?

There are two standard answers I give. Number one, I always tell them to read the Orthodox saints. Once you read the Orthodox saints and you read the Catholic saints, you realize there's no comparison. The Orthodox saints are just so much more profound: their lives, their transformation, the miracles, everything. It's on another level. It's not even comparable.

The other thing I tell people is: look at the church. We don't have a clown mass. We don't have that kind of frivolous behavior. We're not doing 45 minute services in and out. The services are long, solemn, and serious. The church looks like a church: the iconography, the asceticism.
