Should Orthodox Christians push for monarchy to fix society?

How was that whole society changed? Through baptism. Martyrdom and baptism, that was it. All of the Roman Empire was changed through conversion. So the idea that we're going to change society by politics is absolutely absurd. People online say we need a monarchy. Okay, monarchy is the preferred system of Orthodoxy, but the reality is you still need good people to be in the monarchy.

There's no system that works in any way, shape, or form with unrighteous people. If the people governing the nation are evil, no matter what the system is, you're going to end up with evil policies and an evil government, period. So the only way I think we really transform America is this: everything will follow downstream from where we're at spiritually.
