Will making more money actually make me happier?

Real happiness doesn't come from stuff. Real happiness comes from living a more balanced life, keeping your eyes on Christ, and having good relationships and community, people around you that you love and can spend time with. Most people who are wealthy are not happy people. I mean real wealth, people who make big, big sums of money. My family didn't have money, but I lived in an area of Southern California where some people did, and the rates of divorce were super high, with everything that went along with it.

Christ says you can't serve two masters. If you really want to make a lot of money, it's incredibly hard to do it without working a lot of hours, without a lot of stress, pressure, responsibilities, and everything that goes along with it. It's very hard to stay grounded in any way, shape, or form when you receive money. Just as an observation. So I don't think it's healthy to try to make a lot of money.

I think it's healthy to be good and do well in whatever you're doing, see how God blesses you, and see that as a means of blessing other people.
