Is God angry or disappointed with me when I drift away from him?

God doesn't sit there and manipulate us. He's not codependent. He's not emotionally fragile. He's not saying, you haven't called me in two weeks, where have you been, just checking in. He gives us freedom because he wants us to be noble. He wants us to embrace who it is that God made us to be. He has given us such great freedom, such a high calling, and such an ability to be deified in the Holy Spirit, that it is far below us for God to continually treat us like children who always need to be wrangled.
