People often mistake the judgment of God as God sending lightning bolts. That's not the judgment of God. The judgment of God is that God pulls back his protection. When God removes his protection, evil comes in. So our goal is to live righteously and to implore God to protect us with his protection so that evil cannot thrive. But until that happens on a spiritual level, it will never happen on a political level.
