Should my spiritual life really come before everything else?

Being dedicated to God and having a healthy spiritual life, a life of prayer, a life of fasting, regular church attendance, participation in the sacraments, and making that your priority is S-tier. As Christ said, seek first the kingdom of heaven and everything else will be added to you. Like self-control, it's something you cannot live without. If we don't feed our souls, we begin to wither and die as men.

Men need a connection with God. It is how we were created and what God created us for: to be in union and harmony with him and to draw close to him. Your spiritual life has to be the number one priority in your life, before everything and everyone else.
