Should Christians pay attention to dreams?

By and large, the holy fathers tell us to just ignore dreams. If you have a dream, the general rule of thumb is that all dreams are basically supposed to be ignored. What does St Paul say? The devil comes to us as an angel of light. He says that in the epistles. So any type of mystical experience, quote unquote, light appearing in our room, different things, should always be treated with a high degree of reservation or flat-out rejection.

Usually the way the devil works is spiritual experiences with psychedelics and other things that create some kind of quasi-mystical experience, but it does not bring us to repentance.
