How patient is God with us?

God is patient and long-suffering, not in the way we understand it when we are patient, because we see only a small shadow of God's patience. God's patience is endless. God's humility is endless. His condescension to mankind in the incarnation shows this, when he lives and walks and is with the disciples. Nobody thinks that Christ is the unoriginate God, God incarnate.

The disciples see him as someone who is their friend, who journeys with them. He is very different from them, of course, because he is not given over to human passions, but he is boundlessly accessible and approachable.
